The Makoshika Dinosaur Museum located downtown at 104 W. Bell Street, Glendive, the museum has numerous dinosaur sculptures, fossil replicas, and real fossils on display. Makoshika Dinosaur Museum shows representation from the local area and of other parts of the world. The museum has displays showing all three dinosaur time periods; Triassic, Jurassic, and Cretaceous.
Makoshika Dinosaur Museum focuses on just dinosaurs and fossils. The museum serves with cooperation on the study of fossil vertebrates and the stratigraphy of the beds in which they are found. The discoveries are presented to the public to allow each person to draw their own conclusion based on scientific evidence found in the fossil record based on a geological timeline.
Makoshika Dinosaur Museum encourages local participation in the preservation, and presentation of indigenous fossils.
The museum houses real dinosaur eggs, complete tyrannosaurus rex cast, hadrosaur, and triceratops fossils, living fossils, marine fossils, and plant fossils. There are mounted skeletons of dinosaurs of from around the world.
